Water Testing
The current water testing procedure requires a 24 to 48 hour
incubation growth phase in order to detect and confirm one colony
forming unit (cfu) of bacteria per 100ml sample.
FluoroQuik does not require a grow up phase in many cases, and can detect one cfu of bacteria in less than 10 minutes!
FluoroQuik detects extremely low levels (100 picomole) of
enzyme signal.
For testing water samples, a water sample is added to the small
tube or cuvette and placed into the fluorometer. The result is
read on the fluorometer in minutes.
